Shopping Day! Finally!
I needed a bigger bag for traveling so I went to the Nashmarkt hoping to find a bargain. I haven't really gone shopping other than for groceries so far, and now I finally have an excuse! :P
Naschmarkt
the flea market... actually it's not all that big at all... pretty small in fact... but i finally got my umbrealla! the open price was 12 euros apiece and i got it for 12 euros for 2 :P one for Sharon's birthday!
the Wagner's Majolikanhaus in Jugenstil style overlooking the Naschmarkt
Mariahilfestrasse! the Robson street of Vienna! I couldn't find a bag at the Naschmarkt so I had to come here...
one street corner at Mariahilfe
a clocktower on the street

ceiling frescos
the organ
another street corner
Today's Sharon's birthday and after I finally finished shopping I was an hour late to our cafe rendez-vous. We met at Sperl on Gumpendorfer Strasse. The food there wasn't exactly great and the service was terrible. The waiters were even talking behind our backs even though we didn't do anything out of the ordinary, and all the other customers were treated with courtesy except us. What kinda customer service is that!?
I had cheesecake strudel and mocca served with water. Now I can say I've been to a Viennese cafe!
outside of the cafe
group pic!
I was tired from shopping all afternoon so after the cafe I didn't go with Sharon to the opera. Took one last picture in front of the Natural/Art History Museum
