Day 3: Oslo
I took an late evening train to Oslo, and when I got to the airport it was already midnight. So I ended up spending the night at the airport, and I was fortunate to have some cushioned benches to sleep on, but I definitely wouldn't recommend sleeping at the airport...
The central train station. The airport was more than 40km outside the city centre, but there are express trains that only take 20 minutes to get there, which costs Kr80 for students per way.
The parliament. Oslo seems to be a pretty empty and isolated place. It was already after 10am but there were barely any people on the street in city centre...
Karl Johans gatan in downtown Oslo
Oslo Domkirke
a street in Oslo and the Opera house
Edvard Munch Museum. Free entry! Yay! The paintings in the museum are very different in style from The Scream, and I have to say I really don't understand modern art...
.
It was raining in Oslo, but I was told that normally it's around zero degrees at this time of the year, and when I was there it was aournd 10 degrees, so I guess I was lucky :P
