Mom in Vienna: Night at the Opera
In Vienna going to the opera is a must! These classical arts are very popular. All the performances are usually sold out and the tickets aren't cheap either. We didn't get the sitting ticket so we had to line up outside in the cold for more than half an hour to get the standing ticket. We were there an hour and a half before the performance and there was already a long line in front of us... So the place we got wasn't very good and we couldn't see the left side of the stage... Which is too bad... We went to see Verdi's La Traviata, which is a real tear jerker. You can hear people sniffling all around throughout the performance. The prima donna is amazing. Imagine filling up the entire auditorium with your voice!
