Day 2: Muenchen

Theatinerkirche St. Kajetan beside the Residenz

something? beside the Residenz

The second day we decided to go visit the Residenz. It is very beautiful but the audio tour was way too long... I guess you're not meant to listen to everything, and after the tour ended honestly I can't even remember what I listened to...

don't know again what this building is??

the Antiquarium

most of the palace was actually destroyed in WWII and rebuilt afterwards

In the city. We spent so much time with the audio tour we didn't have a chance to go to the Cuvillies-Theater and the Hofkapelle in the Residenz :S

.

After the Residenz we went to the Neue Pinakothek, a gallery of 18th- and 19th century art.

the Alte Pinakothek. We didn't have a chance to go to the other museums and galleries, so we just tried to take pictures outside if we pass by them.

And this concludes our sightseeing in Muenchen. Other places that we didn't have a chance to go to: Schloss Nymphenburg, Olympiapark, Deutsches Museum... :S

The girls monkeying around in the U Bahn station

After the Englischer Garten we were all tired and hungry so we decided to go find a cheap restaurant

We had mixed pan with duck, pork, potato dumpling and blue cabbage; and pork sausage with Sauerkraut. (And the glass of carbonated water that tasted horrible costs 2 euros! Doh!)
