Day 10: Brussels

I found a really cheap bus ticket to Brussels, so I took an early morning bus there. Brussels doesn't seem to be as rich as the other cities, and there aren't as much to see. By the second day afternoon I was just sitting in my hostel waiting for my bus to Switzerland. And there are some areas in the city that aren't as nice or safe.

the Moroccan districts that are kind of dirty and dangerous... I didn't know that when I went there...

View from on top of the hill. Brussels is also a little hilly. On top of the hill is the Upper town, traditionally the richer, aristocratic area. The Lower Town is of course the poorer, worker area.

Manneken Pis

Notre Dame de la Chapelle right next to the hostel. I didn't like that hostel that much because there are lock outs and you can't go into the hostel during cleaning hours in the middle of the day. The admin lady wasn't that nice or helpful, and you have to pay to use the storage lockers, which eats up your money and only lets you open the locker once. It's extortion!
